Job Description: Fitzroy location Permanent part time or full time positions available
About the Role
As a Health Assistant (Nursing), you will work under the direction of the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) or equivalent.
You will work as an assistant and support person to the Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses to provide delegated aspects of direct and non-direct patient care.
Responsibilities
Assist with personal hygiene, nutritional needs, and mobility, transfers and positioning within the ward
Maintain a safe patient environment
Assist with making beds (not discharge and admission) and keeping the ward tidy
Communicate effectively with patients, families and the wider team
Classification & Salary
Classifications for this position will range from IN37 - IN39 ($59,282- $68, 384per annum).
Qualifications
Certificate III Health Assistant (nursing), or other relevant certificate or satisfactory completion of second year of study in undergraduate nursing degree
Permanent residency status within Australia
Positive interpersonal skills including ability to communicate effectively with staff, patients and families
Experience in healthcare setting is desirable
A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, or willing to obtain
Work Arrangement
Permanent part time or full time positions available.
