Your Future Role:
As a Senior Bid Manager, you'll join us on a 12-month max-term contract within our ANZ Commercial Team, you will lead the preparation and delivery of a competitive, compliant, and profitable bid for high-value, critical tenders based in our North Sydney office.
You'll take end-to-end ownership of the bid process, from opportunity qualification through to tender submission and handover, while coordinating cross-functional teams and aligning technical, commercial, and financial inputs.
You'll play a critical role in shaping winning strategies, managing risks and opportunities, and ensuring high-quality submissions that meet both customer and internal requirements.
You Will:
Lead the end-to-end bid process in line with internal governance and tender processes.
Analyse tender requirements and define the bid operational strategy in collaboration with Tender Leaders, Platforms, and Commercial teams.
Support win/no-win decisions, tender reviews, and internal governance milestones.
Contribute to commercial and pricing strategy, including partner engagement where required.
Develop and manage detailed bid plans, schedules, and interdependencies.
Lead and coordinate cross-functional bid teams (engineering, procurement, finance, legal, operations, marketing, and more).
Allocate responsibilities, drive inputs, and ensure commitments are clearly defined and documented.
Manage tender budgets and lead cost, schedule, quality, and delivery (QCDP) commitments and optimisation.
Prepare and maintain risk and chance registers, facilitating risk reviews and alignment across stakeholders.
Ensure full compliance with customer requirements, internal standards, and governance processes, including compliance matrices, deviations, and assumptions.
Coordinate preparation of technical descriptions, pricing schedules, and administrative documentation.
Support contract negotiations and customer clarification processes where required.
Support the transition from bid to project at tender handover, contributing to win/loss analysis and lessons learned.
Champion continuous improvement, best practice, and knowledge sharing across the bid community.
All About You:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related discipline
Proven experience in bid management, tender coordination, or project delivery environments (project delivery experience is a plus).
Strong understanding of costing, planning, risk management, and commercial principles, with exposure to the contractual, financial, and legal aspects of bids and tenders.
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to lead complex activities under time pressure and competing priorities.
High attention to detail with strong document and version control discipline.
Confident communicator, able to challenge assumptions and drive alignment.
Proficiency in MS Office and collaboration tools.
Accountable and outcome focused, with a proactive, resilient, and adaptable mindset.
