As part of our continued growth, we are establishing a new distribution operation in Adelaide and are seeking an experienced Warehouse & Logistics professional ready to step up into an Operations Manager role.

About the opportunity
n
This is a full-time position from
commencement,providing
an opportunity to join Darley Aluminium as we "establish" our Adelaide operation.
n
While the full Operations Manager role will evolve over the coming months as the business and distribution activities grow, the successful candidate will be employed full-time from the outset and will progressively take on greater responsibility for the warehouse and distribution operation.
n
Key responsibilities will include:
n

Managing warehouse and distribution activities
n
Coordinating inbound and outbound stock
n
Managing inventory accuracy and stock control
n
Coordinating picking, loading and dispatch
n
Managing freight, transport and delivery requirements
n




Supervising and developing warehouse staff as the operation grows
n
Maintaining a safe, organised and efficient workplace
n
Establishing practical warehouse systems and procedures
n
Working with management, customers, suppliers and transport providers
n
Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and service
n
n
About you
n
We are looking for someone currently working as a Warehouse Supervisor, Logistics Supervisor, Team Leader or similar, who is ready to take the next step in their career.
n
We would also consider an experienced aluminium sales professional with strong product knowledge and a genuine interest in moving into an operational leadership role.
n
You will ideally have:
n
n
Experience in warehouse, logistics, distribution or aluminium sales
n
Knowledge of aluminium products and the industry will be highly regarded
n
Experience supervising, leading or coordinating people and activities
n
Strong organisational and planning skills
n
A practical, hands-on approach
n
Good communication and customer service skills
n
Strong attention to detailA commitment to workplace safety
n
The ability to take ownership and work independently
n
