Position Information
Bennett Road Public School is situated within the Eastern Creek group of schools.
The school has a current enrolment of 630 students including 16% who identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and 37% with a language background other than English.
There are 24 mainstream classes and 7 fully integrated support classes.
Due to our school identification process of High Potential and Gifted learners, this year we have continued our implementation of 2 composite enrichment classes across grades 3-6.

Specific Selection Criteria
Approval to teach Special Education and/or experience teaching students with Autism, mild and moderate intellectual disabilities and complex challenging behaviours, with a solid commitment to and passion in inclusive education.
Demonstrated ability to design and deliver differentiated, data-informed programs that use explicit teaching, evidence-based practice and high expectations to improve academic, social and behavioural outcomes.
Proven understanding and experience in contributing to whole-school initiatives that drive innovative practices supporting learning and wellbeing across the school.
High-level interpersonal skills with the capacity to effectively communicate across all stakeholders within the school context, including students, parents/carers,



external agencies and the wider community, to build and enhance a culture of inclusivity.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
