The Role
Due to growth of our Adelaide Toxic Torts team, a rare and exciting chance has arisen for a Junior Lawyer (1-3 years' PQE) to support a highly regarded Partner, Caroline Knight.
In this role you will be working on a range matters involving dust diseases litigation for a number of our national and international clients.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Manage a varied caseload of dust disease claims under supervision
Draft defences, statements of claim, evidence summaries, liability analyses and strategic advice
Assess exposure histories and interrogate causation issues using expert evidence
Prepare briefs to counsel and liaise with experts
Assist with mediations,



contribution negotiations and multi-party litigation strategy
Analyse and prosecute contribution claims against employers, insurers, builders and other commercial entities
Who We Are Looking For
The successful candidate will have the following:
Between 1-3 years' PQE in insurance litigation, personal injury defence or commercial disputes
Strong analytical skills and confidence working with technical medical evidence
Excellent drafting and attention to detail
Commercial mindset with the ability to balance legal and insurer objectives
Professionalism and maturity when dealing with sensitive claimant circumstances
