We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator to join a large and highly regarded organisation undertaking a significant virtualisation and infrastructure modernisation program. This is an exciting chance to play a key role in the migration of hundreds of virtual machines while supporting critical enterprise systems across on-premise and cloud environments.

What You'll Be Doing
n
n
Leading the migration of approximately 400 virtual machines from VMware ESXi to Microsoft Hyper-V.
n
Planning, testing, implementing and validating complex infrastructure changes and migrations.
n
Administering and supporting enterprise Windows Server environments.
n
Managing and maintaining VMware ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V and Veeam Backup & Recovery platforms.
n
Supporting infrastructure hosted across on-premises, Microsoft Azure and AWS environments.
n
Investigating and resolving complex Level 3 infrastructure incidents and technical issues.
n
Managing incidents, problems, changes and releases through ServiceNow.
n
Working closely with stakeholders, project teams, application owners and vendors to ensure successful delivery outcomes.
n
Providing technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to operational and project teams.
n
Contributing to high availability, disaster recovery, security, monitoring and backup strategies.

About You
n
n




Extensive experience administering enterprise Windows Server environments.
n
Strong hands-on experience with VMware ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V.
n
Proven experience supporting Veeam Backup & Recovery solutions.
n
Demonstrated success delivering large-scale infrastructure or VM migration projects.
n
Experience working within IT Service Management frameworks and platforms such as ServiceNow.
n
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across server, virtualisation and backup technologies.
n
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
n
The ability to work effectively across operational teams, projects and external vendors.
n

Highly Regarded

n
Enterprise-scale VMware to Hyper-V migration projects.
n
Microsoft Azure and/or AWS infrastructure environments.
n
High availability and disaster recovery platforms.
n
Confluence documentation and knowledge management.
n
Large, complex enterprise or government ICT environments.
n
