Are you an experienced Credit Officer who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and keeping accounts on track?

We are currently partnering with a well-established organisation to recruit an experienced Credit Officer to join their Brisbane-based finance team on a fixed-term contract.
n
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a busy and collaborative environment where you will take ownership of a portfolio of accounts, manage collections and overdue debt, resolve customer queries and play an important role in reducing credit risk across the business.
n
The role Reporting to the Credit Manager, your responsibilities will include:
n
n
Managing the collection of overdue accounts and following up outstanding debt
n
Building and maintaining robust relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
n
Resolving customer account queries efficiently and professionally
n
Processing and managing payment allocations
n
Completing account reconciliations
n
Identifying and proactively escalating potential credit risks
n
Providing weekly and monthly commentary on overdue accounts
n
Working closely with Sales Representatives,



Management and the wider Credit team
n
Liaising with external customers, distributors and debt collection agencies where required
n
Supporting other members of the finance team and sharing knowledge
n
n
About you
n
We are looking for someone who brings:
n
n
Strong experience in Credit Control, ideally 5+ years
n
Previous experience working within an FMCG or high-volume environment
n
Strong SAP experience
n
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
n
A proactive approach to collections and resolving account issues
n
Strong organisational and analytical skills
n
Exceptional attention to detail
n
The ability to build strong relationships with both customers and internal stakeholders
n
n
This role would suit a confident and professional Credit Officer who enjoys taking ownership, working collaboratively and managing a busy portfolio.
