Graphic Designer (with UX exposure)
SUMMARY




We're looking for a Graphic Designer to join our teamdelivering high-quality visual design for a High Profile Government Department— think campaign materials, publications, presentations, and brand assets usedacross government and international audiences.
You'll work in a fast-pacedenvironment, with room to also flex into UX/digital design occasionally.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design visually compellingassets; presentations, publications, infographics, campaign and promotionalmaterials, for a High Profile Government Department and related stakeholders
Prepare and manage press-readyartwork with print vendors, meeting production and brand standards
Maintain and evolve consistentvisual identity and branding across all materials
Design layouts for print anddigital assets
Produce multimedia contentacross platforms, ensuring a high level of quality and creativity
Participate in brainstormingsessions and contribute innovative ideas for visual and brand elements
Opportunity to contribute todigital/UX projects, wireframes, prototypes, and interface design
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
Proven experience as a GraphicDesigner, with a solid portfolio showcasing a range of design works.
Proficiency in graphic designsoftware such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and theMicrosoft Office suite (Word and PowerPoint).
Strong understanding of designprinciples, including typography, colour theory, and layout.
Excellent attention to detailand a keen eye for aesthetics.
Ability to manage multipleprojects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment (at times).
Strong communication andcollaboration skills.
Hold a NV1 or higher AustralianGovernment security clearance.




DESIRABLE CRITERIA
Knowledge of user experience(UX) design principles and best practices.
Understanding of responsivedesign and accessibility standards.
Familiarity with contentmanagement systems (CMS) and web development processes.
Willingness to learn anddevelop user experience design skills.
QUALIFICATIONS/TRAITS
A minimum of 4+ years ofexperience working at a digital agency as a Graphic Designer or UI Designer.
Portfolio of key projectsdelivered in past years, calling out your role on the project, deliverablesresponsible and successes achieved.
Excellent communication skills(both in conversation and in writing) and a portfolio which demonstrates thisability in various phases of design.
Ability to work gracefully andhave a bias for action in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment.
Ability to drive the designreview cycle and close on design requirements independently.
Worked within collaborative,cross-functional teams to deliver multiple, successful projects.
