Position Information
Greenway Park Public School is situated approximately 11km west of Liverpool, South Western Sydney within the residential area of Carnes Hill.
The school serves a diverse multicultural community with an enrolment of 620 students, of which 79% come from a language background other than English, 75% have English as an additional language or dialect and 1% are from a refugee background.
1% of the student population identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
The school prides itself on research based pedagogical practices, which are utilised in the delivery of programs driven by direct instruction.
We balance data driven, explicit instruction and feedback with innovative collegial practices.

Specific Selection Criteria In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary:
Proven ability to undertake the complex leadership and management role of an Assistant Principal, whilst balancing exemplary evidence-based classroom teaching practice.
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills to lead, mentor, and inspire both experienced and early career staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and positive collaboration with all stakeholders.
Demonstrated deep knowledge and implementation of evidenced-based practices and ability to lead a stage team through exemplary planning, high quality collaboration and evaluative processes.
Demonstrated capacity to lead student-centred wellbeing practices and whole-school processes, resulting in enhanced student engagement, and an inclusive school culture working in partnership with the wider community.




General Selection Criteria
Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
