About the role You will work from single line, schematic, three-line, block and termination diagrams to produce accurate switchboard general arrangements and wiring designs in AutoCAD, ensuring every design complies with AS ***** and AS/NZS ****.
Alongside the drawing work you will develop bills of materials and label lists, and liaise with engineering, procurement and workshop teams through to build.
This suits either an electrical designer or engineer looking to specialise, or an experienced switchboard designer or assembler ready to move into a full design role.
Duties and responsibilities Produce switchboard designs and drawing packages in AutoCAD, including general arrangements, wiring and termination diagrams Interpret single line, schematic, three-line, block and termination diagrams Ensure designs comply with AS *****,



AS/NZS **** and relevant wiring rules Develop and maintain bills of materials and label lists in Excel Apply client-specific technical standards and specifications to design deliverables Liaise with engineering, procurement and workshop teams from design through to assembly Support design reviews and incorporate feedback into revised drawing packages Skills and experience required Degree or trade qualification in switchboard design or an electrical engineering discipline Either 1 year in electrical engineering, design engineering or project engineering, or 3 years as a switchboard designer or assembler Advanced AutoCAD skills Ability to read single line, schematic, three-line, block and termination diagrams Sound understanding of AS *****, AS/NZS **** and wiring rules Experience using Excel to produce bills of materials and label lists Current Australian working rights Desirable Prior exposure to Rio Tinto, BHP or Fortescue technical specifications What's on offer $100,000 – $110,000 plus superannuation Perth-based role with a secure pipeline of resources sector work Exposure to major iron ore client standards and specifications How to apply Click apply, or contact ****** / ************ for a confidential discussion.
