Electrical Project Engineer | Major Mining Infrastructure (Port Operations) Location: Port Operations, Western Australia (FIFO from Perth) Contract Duration: 2 Months (Commencing Mid-September ****) Roster: 2:1 FIFO Roster (12-hour shifts | 7 Days, 7 Nights, 7 Days Off) Pay Rates (Flat Rates, No Penalty Rates): Day Shift: $118 p / hour + super Night Shift: $148 p / hour + super About the Company We are an Indigenous-owned contracting business specializing in delivering civil, electrical, mechanical, and capability solutions across the resources, energy, and infrastructure sectors.

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to lead key electrical scopes for critical mining infrastructure on a major BHP project site.
You will be based at port operations, working directly on heavy assets with a strong primary focus on bucket wheel reclaimer/stacker systems and shutdown packages .
This is a fast-paced execution-phase contract requiring robust field engineering capability, uncompromising safety standards, and hands-on site coordination across alternating 12-hour day and night shifts.
Key Responsibilities Oversee and engineering-support electrical execution packages across heavy port infrastructure.
Focus directly on bucket wheel mechanical-electrical interfaces, drives,



controls, and high-voltage supply assets.
Manage daily field engineering tasks during 12-hour day and night shift operations.
Liaise with site operational personnel, supervisors, subcontractors, and safety teams to ensure work packs are executed safely and on schedule.
Provide rapid technical resolution on-site during critical shutdown windows to maintain plant uptime.
Key Requirements Qualifications: Tertiary degree in Electrical Engineering or recognized equivalent.
Industry Experience: Proven background in critical mining infrastructure , ideally within iron ore bulk materials handling or port operations.
Inductions: BHP Inductions preferred but not essential Shutdown Experience: Strong preference for engineers with direct experience in major plant shutdowns, commissioning, or turnaround windows.
Asset Expertise: Direct technical exposure to bucket wheel reclaimers/stackers or heavy bulk-handling equipment.
Site Clearance: Full Australian working rights and ability to explicit standard site medicals and drug alcohol screening.
