Therapeutic Guidelines

Melbourne

Therapeutic Guidelines Limited is an independent, not for profit organisation established almost 50 years ago by leading members of the Australian healthcare community.
Over time, Therapeutic Guidelines has evolved into Australia's leading digital healthcare publisher, delivering trusted resources including Therapeutic Guidelines, Australian Prescriber, Don't Rush to Crush, and ObesiD.
We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join our Technology team, reporting to the IT Support Manager.
This is a hands‐on role at the centre of how TGL keeps its clinical decision‐support products reliable, secure and available, covering everything from Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 administration through to monitoring, automation, identity and access, and security operations.
You will administer and support the infrastructure, systems and applications that our staff and, ultimately, health professionals across Australia depend on every day.
It is a genuinely varied role for someone who enjoys the full breadth of modern IT operations, from scripting and automation through to Level 2/3 support and well‐governed change and release.
This role is replacing a valued member of our small, high‐performing Technology team, so we are keen to find the right person and get them settled in quickly.
Job Description
About you
You are technically strong across Microsoft's cloud stack, methodical under pressure, and comfortable balancing hands‐on administration with automation and continuous improvement.
You take real ownership of reliability and security, communicate clearly with both technical and non‐technical stakeholders, and enjoy being the person others can rely on when something needs fixing properly, not just quickly.
Extensive experience administering Microsoft 365 E5 suite,

Power Platform and Microsoft Azure Cloud environments.
Practical experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with API concepts and related coding skills.
Strong technical knowledge of infrastructure management, networking and endpoint management.
Experience administering Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
Automation and scripting skills using PowerShell, Python or a comparable language.
Demonstrated experience working in a Service Desk environment with a ticketing system, including Level 2/3 support.
Well‐developed interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non‐specialist stakeholders.
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience working in an agile environment.
Familiarity with security tooling such as Microsoft Defender, Wazuh SIEM and Fortinet firewalls.
Experience supporting institutional and federated access methods, such as IP-range access, referring URL controls and OpenAthens.
Familiarity with backup and recovery tooling such as Veeam and GitProtect.
Experience in the healthcare sector.
Therapeutic Guidelines Limited is located close to the lively North Melbourne village precinct.
We have a motivated team that enjoys a social, flexible and hybrid working environment where collaboration, purpose and personal growth are valued.
We offer a competitive salary for this role, monthly RDOs, access to salary packaging and a range of attractive employee benefits.
Above all, we provide a supportive, inclusive and enjoyable workplace where people feel safe, thrive and achieve.
Therapeutic Guidelines Limited is an Equal Prospect Employer.
Applications close COB Tuesday 15 September ****, or sooner if suitable candidates are available to interview.
133 Abbotsford St,
North Melbourne, Victoria
