About the role:
As a Maintenance Officer, you will:
Maintain Residential Aged Care buildings, grounds,plant and equipment to ensure they are operating safely andefficiently.
Complete planned and preventative maintenancetasks.
Respond to maintenance requests in a timelymanner.
Identify and report maintenance issues requiring repairor replacement.
Assist with repairs and maintenance across common areasand resident rooms.
Liaise with contractors and service providers whenspecialist works are required.
Support facility improvement and refurbishmentprojects.
Maintain a safe setting for residents, visitors andstaff.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance withWorkplace Health and Safety requirements.
Contribute to the presentation and appearance of thefacility.
About you:
Previous experience in building, maintenance, paintingor a similar role.
Strong knowledge of general repairs and maintenance offacilities, equipment and infrastructure.
Experience operating and maintaining a variety oftools, machinery and equipment.
Excellent customer service and communicationskills.
The ability to work independently and as part of ateam.
Sound problem-solving and decision-makingabilities.
Good organisational and time-management skills.
A strong commitment to workplace health andsafety.
Experience within Residential Aged Care, RetirementLiving, Hospitality or residential communities will behighly regarded.
