Job description We are partnering with a large Facilities Services Provider looking for a Senior Technical Facilities / Contracts Manager in Melbourne to lead the delivery of maintenance, repair and minor works services to several buildings across Melbourne CBD, Docklands, Southbank and some Inner Suburbs, ensuring building services plant and equipment is reliable, safe, compliant, and fully operational.
The Role Lead and coordinate Managers and teams delivering maintenance operations, optimising asset performance, managing budgets up to $40M and ensuring full compliance with best practice and legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Lead a team of Technical Facilities Managers, direct and contractor staff across buildings in Melbourne CBD, Docklands, Southbank and Inner Suburbs.
You will lead Managers and teams delivering maintenance services, repair and minor works.
Strong knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical or HVAC Building Services plant.
Actively contribute to and support business transformation initiatives.
Managing budgets up to $40 million.
Oversee contractor safety and compliance, including SWMS and adherence to the company's Risk Protocols.
Proactively manage team and contractor performance, monitoring and driving key monthly KPIs.
Maintain contractual compliance through site inspections, raising work orders or quotes as required.
Manage client requests and feedback, delivering timely resolutions and explicit communication.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
Completion of required Reporting accurately and on-time.
Requirements: Hold Full Australian Work Rights (no sponsorship available).
Be able to secure a clear National Police Check and any Site-Specific Clearances Previously run budgets of over $30 million.
Experience leading teams across large complex facilities: - University, Hospital, Data Centre is an advantage.
Have a Cert III (Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC or Fire Trade).
8+ years Facilities Management experience, with at least 5 years' in running managers and teams in Australia, working to Australian Codes, Standards and Regulations.
A valid Australian Driver's license Be able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
