Title:- Records Information Management Specialist Length:- 4-6 Month Contract Initially Location:- Sydney Records Management Compliance Uplift We're looking for an experienced Records Information Management Specialist to join a large, complex organisation on an initial 4-6 month contract, delivering a practical records management compliance uplift.
This is a hands-on role focused on assessing the current records management environment, identifying compliance gaps and implementing pragmatic improvements across records classification, disposal, governance, systems and staff guidance.
The Role Working closely with Compliance and key business stakeholders, you'll take ownership of a defined records management uplift program, including: Assessing current records management policies, procedures and practices Reviewing compliance gaps and identifying priority areas for improvement Developing a practical Records Compliance Uplift Roadmap Creating simplified records classification guidance and decision tools Reviewing existing records taxonomy, folder structures and usability Improving records disposal processes, schedules and governance Reviewing the use and adoption of Content Manager Considering integration points across SharePoint, Content Manager and other business systems Developing practical staff guidance, FAQs, process maps and quick-reference materials Supporting communications, awareness and change activities Reviewing records management ownership, governance and operating models Providing knowledge transfer,
documentation and coaching to internal teams What We're Looking For We're keen to speak with candidates who have: Strong experience across Records Management / Information Management Demonstrated experience delivering records management compliance uplift programs Good knowledge of records classification, retention and disposal Experience reviewing and improving records management policies and procedures Strong experience with Content Manager / TRIM Exposure to SharePoint and broader information management environments Experience developing practical guidance and processes for business users Strong stakeholder engagement and change management capability Ability to work autonomously and deliver against defined project outcomes Experience working within NSW Government, government agencies, statutory authorities or similarly regulated environments would be highly regarded, particularly knowledge of the State Records Act **** (NSW) and associated records management standards.
