Job Title : Communications Engineer Job Id ******* Security Clearance: NV1 Clearance Length of Contract: 11 months The role closes on 08/09/2026 Location: Campbell Park Offices, Canberra, ACT Deliverables / Key Responsibilities: Act prudently, ethically and lawfully.
Communicate effectively with line managers and Division Head, including consultation with them and taking appropriate direction from them.
Employ best practice in the execution of work, focusing on achieving outcomes, ensuring that decisions are made by appropriately qualified and experienced persons, and taking judicious risks Provide clarity on roles responsibilities.
Encourage transparency and truthfulness.
Encourage collaboration and communication.
Experience/Skills Sought: Be a Chartered Professional Engineer of a registered Skilled Engineering Body (such as Engineers Australia) equivalent, or be able to attain chartered status.
Tertiary qualifications in Communications Engineering or other equivalent experience.
Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience in leadership and management roles, and an ability to coach and guide teams in the implementation of strategy and change.
SFIA Skills Sought: The deployment, integration, calibration, tuning and maintenance of radio frequency (RF) and analogue elements of IT systems.
RFEN Level 4: Investigates and resolves system-wide fault conditions using a wide range of diagnostic tools and techniques.
Reconfigures equipment to circumvent temporary outages.
