Supported by experienced technicians and a strong commitment to quality, innovation and customer satisfaction, the company is looking for a skilled Hardware Technician to join its team.
Salary range: $70,000 - $80,000 per annum (depending upon skills and experience) Location: Midwale, WA Job type: Full-time Responsibilities include but are not limited to: · Inspect hardware devices including tablets, laptops, printers, ipads, mobile phones, and other devices to identify hardware faults, physical damage and performance issues.
· Consult with customers to understand reported problems and conduct appropriate diagnostic testing to determine the required repairs.
· Disassemble devices using suitable tools and procedures to examine internal components and identify the underlying cause of faults.
· Repair or replace defective components, including screens, batteries, charging ports, cameras, speakers, microphones, buttons and internal connectors.
· Install and configure replacement hardware, ensuring that components are correctly fitted and compatible with the relevant device model.
· Perform software updates, operating-system restoration and device configuration where required to support proper hardware functionality.
· Test repaired devices across all relevant hardware functions, including charging, display, touch response, audio, camera, connectivity, battery performance, etc.
· Complete final quality-control inspections to confirm that repairs meet the company's workmanship and performance requirements.
· Offer practical advice regarding device handling, battery care, protective accessories and preventive measures to minimise future damage.
· Maintain accurate records of diagnostic findings, parts used, repairs completed, testing outcomes and applicable warranty information.
· Complete repair work within agreed timeframes while complying with workplace health and safety procedures and established service standards.
· Maintain an up-to-date understanding of recent hardware-device technologies, repair methods, diagnostic equipment and replacement components.
Requirements · Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Hardware Technician/Computer Mobile phone Technician/ related field.
· Relevant qualification/ certification in computer/ electrical engineering/IT or related field is required; however, substantial relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
· Understanding of hardware devices and current technology Skills and attributes · Dependable, responsible and committed to quality workmanship · Strong organisation and time-management abilities · Effective communication and customer service skills · Advanced hardware diagnostics and chip-level repair capabilities · Skilled in installing, maintaining and repairing hardware devices · Knowledge of major smartphone, tablet, laptop, printer, scanner and computer brands · Strong fault-finding and technical problem-solving abilities · Experience within a professional device repair environment · Ability to explain technical issues and repair options clearly · Solid technical expertise with a customer-focused approach Full-time work rights are required.
