The Role Reporting to the Financial Controller and working within a finance team of *****, this is an excellent chance for an Assistant Financial Accountant.
You'll get broad, hands-on exposure to financial accounting, reconciliations and reporting within a business where the pace never really slows down, ideal for someone who wants to learn fast and be trusted with real responsibility early.
Key responsibilities include Assisting with month-end close, including preparation of journals, accruals and prepayments Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies Supporting the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting schedules Assisting with fixed asset accounting, including additions, disposals and depreciation Supporting Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable reconciliations Assisting with BAS/GST preparation and other statutory compliance requirements Supporting the year-end audit process,



including preparation of workpapers and schedules Contributing to process improvement and system initiatives within a high-volume finance function Building strong working relationships across finance and operations, and communicating clearly with stakeholders at all levels About You Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or Commerce CA/CPA studying or intending to commence ideally experience with exposure to a high-volume, transactional or manufacturing environment Strong technical accounting fundamentals, with solid Excel skills A natural self-starter who takes initiative rather than waiting to be told what's next Excellent communication skills, comfortable liaising with both finance and non-finance stakeholders A genuine team player who will thrive in a close-knit, high-performing team Resilient, adaptable and comfortable working at pace in a dynamic, fast-moving business What's on Offer The opportunity to build your career in a billion dollar manufacturing organisation Direct mentorship from an experienced Financial Controller Genuine scope to develop technically and take on responsibility quickly A close-knit, supportive team culture within a business that's anything but boring once you're in it.
