About the Role AZR VEHICLE SERVICES PTY LTD is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our team on a permanent full-time basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining and repairing motor vehicles to ensure they operate safely, efficiently and reliably.
The role involves carrying out routine servicing, identifying mechanical faults, repairing or replacing defective components and testing vehicles following repairs.
The structure and core responsibilities of this position are based on the Motor Mechanic advertisement sample provided, which covers vehicle diagnosis, servicing, mechanical repairs and roadworthiness-related work.
Duties and Responsibilities The successful applicant will be responsible for: Detecting and diagnosing faults in vehicle engines, transmissions and other mechanical components.
Inspecting vehicles and identifying mechanical faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment and testing procedures.
Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions and other mechanical components for inspection and repair.
Repairing or replacing worn, damaged or defective mechanical parts.
Performing scheduled maintenance services, including oil changes, lubrication,



engine tune-ups and general servicing.
Inspecting, repairing and maintaining braking, steering and suspension systems.
Carrying out engine and mechanical repairs as required.
Reassembling mechanical components and testing them to ensure correct operation and performance.
Using diagnostic equipment and software to test vehicle systems and identify faults.
Conducting vehicle inspections and identifying work required to ensure vehicles remain safe and roadworthy.
Following manufacturer specifications, service manuals and technical guidelines when carrying out servicing and repairs.

Maintaining accurate records of all servicing, maintenance and repair work performed.
Advising relevant workshop personnel of additional repairs or maintenance identified during vehicle inspections.

Following workplace health and safety requirements and safe work procedures at all times.
Maintaining workshop tools and equipment in good working condition.
Keeping the workshop and work areas clean, organised and safe.
Working cooperatively with other mechanics and workshop staff in a busy automotive environment.

Experience using automotive diagnostic equipment and workshop tools.
Robust troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.
A qualified and responsible approach to workplace safety.
A current Australian driver's licence is highly desirable.
