The Architect Who Makes Great Design Buildable Lead the full cycle delivery of significant education/civic projects Genuine responsibility and a clear salary package up to $130k + super We are looking for an experienced Project Architect who understands how to carry a robust design through documentation, procurement and construction without losing what made the project distinctive in the first place.
Joining an established, medium-sized architecture studio in central Perth, you will take a senior, hands-on role across the delivery of significant education, civic and public-sector projects .
It is for a collaborative architect who can work within an established methodology, contribute intelligently and help turn considered design into a high-quality built outcome.
The Opportunity You will work closely with the studio's directors and project teams, taking responsibility for construction-stage delivery and contract administration.
Your role will include: Leading projects through construction and completion Administering architectural and construction contracts Coordinating clients, consultants and contractors Reviewing RFIs, shop drawings, samples and contractor submissions Assessing variations, progress claims and extensions of time Preparing clear instructions, recommendations and client reports Monitoring programme, quality, compliance and contractual obligations Resolving technical and construction-stage issues Supporting consultant coordination and project programming Protecting the original design intent throughout construction What You Will Bring You are likely to be an experienced Project Architect, Senior Project Architect or hands-on Senior Architect with strong Australian project delivery experience.




You will ideally have: Approximately 12 years of architectural experience Genuine contract administration and construction-stage capability Confidence assessing variations, claims, EOTs and practical completion matters Strong consultant, contractor and client coordination skills Knowledge of local construction systems, detailing and scheduling A sound understanding of the NCC, Australian Standards and relevant regulations Experience working within Revit and BIM-led project environments Clear written communication and disciplined project reporting skills Experience across education, civic, community, institutional or government projects would be highly regarded.
Exposure to WA Government projects or previous Superintendent's Representative responsibilities would be valuable, but will not be the only measure of suitability.
