Project Manager (Commercial) | $145k to $165k plus super, ute and bonus | Brisbane

CRA Construction is a Brisbane commercial plastering and carpentry contractor. Since **** we have built a name delivering ceilings, partitions, plastering and fitouts to a standard most subbies talk about but few actually hold. We are a tight team of 22 internally, backed by a strong subcontractor base, running commercial packages from $100,000 to $3,000,000, alongside a residential team delivering high end architectural homes through to multi-res.

We have a strong forward workbook and several good projects about to be awarded. We are looking for a Project Manager to convert our tenders into won work, finalise the numbers at award, then own the delivery and profitability of those projects through to completion.

What you will be doing
n
Converting tenders into won projects and negotiating awards with our target and existing builders
n
Finalising quotes, scope and pricing at award stage
n
Providing commercial sign off on tenders before they go out, working with our estimating team
n
Owning each project once won and monitoring its profitability against budget
n
Tracking variations and making sure they are captured, priced and claimed
n
Managing costs, claims and progress claims to protect margin
n
Coordinating site teams, subbies and suppliers to keep jobs on program
n
Protecting our builder relationships and keeping quality and safety front and centre
n
What you will bring
n
Proven experience on commercial construction projects, ideally in plastering, ceilings, partitions or fitout
n
A track record of converting and negotiating work over the line, not just pricing it
n
Strong commercial understanding across cost, margin, variations and claims
n
Confidence reading drawings, specifications and contracts
n
Estimating or contracts background is a real advantage
n
A reliable, accountable approach, and someone who takes pride in quality over shortcuts
n
Current drivers licence and white card
