At Barpa, we are proud to deliver projects that create long-term value for communities while fostering meaningful Indigenous participation and partnerships.About the RoleReporting to the Project Manager, you will take ownership of day-to-day site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.
You will provide strong leadership to site teams and subcontractors while building positive relationships with clients, consultants, Traditional Owners, and local communities.Key responsibilities include:Leading all site-based construction activities from mobilisation through to completionDriving a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with HSE requirementsManaging subcontractors, suppliers, labour resources and site logisticsMonitoring and maintaining project programmes and key milestonesEnsuring quality standards are achieved and defects are minimisedCoordinating trade interfaces and construction sequencingManaging site administration, records and reporting requirementsBuilding positive relationships with clients,
stakeholders and project teamsMentoring and developing Site Supervisors and emerging construction professionalsSupporting Barpa's commitment to Indigenous employment, procurement and community engagementAbout YouEssential8+ years' experience in commercial construction, ideally in a Site Manager or Senior Supervisor capacityExperience delivering commercial, government, education, health, community or mixed-use projectsStrong leadership and people management skillsDemonstrated ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate multiple tradesComprehensive knowledge of construction sequencing, quality assurance and site safety requirementsStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to identify risks early and drive practical solutionsRelevant construction qualification, trade qualification, or extensive industry experienceStrong computer literacy, including demonstrated proficiency in the MS Office Suite and ability to effectively use construction management, safety and quality softwareBenefits and perks:A collaborative, values-driven workplace with a strong commitment to Indigenous participation and inclusion.Competitive salary and the opportunity to work on diverse, technically complex projects across Australia.Excellent leave advantages, including Cultural Leave, Purchased Leave, Work Life Balance Days, Community Days, and a generous Parental Leave scheme.Access to Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
