You will work closely with a team of approximately 8–9 Contract Administrators, providing guidance on larger contracts, supporting their development and helping strengthen commercial processes across the business.With projects typically valued between $5M–$10M, this is an opportunity to take on greater responsibility within a stable builder where you can establish yourself as a long-term member of the leadership team.The RoleAs Contracts Manager, you will provide commercial oversight across projects while supporting and developing the wider Contracts Administration team.Your responsibilities will include:Leading, supporting and mentoring a team of 8–9 Contract AdministratorsProviding guidance across larger and more complex contractsOverseeing procurement,



subcontractor negotiations and scopes of workReviewing contracts, variations, claims and progress paymentsMonitoring project budgets, forecasts and overall commercial performanceIdentifying and managing contractual and commercial riskWorking closely with Project Managers and site teams to support project outcomesReviewing commercial processes and identifying opportunities for improvementSupporting CAs through complex contractual matters and developing their capabilityBuilding strong relationships with subcontractors, clients and project stakeholdersThe Like MindYou will be an experienced commercial construction professional who is confident in contract administration and ready to take greater ownership across a team.You may already be operating as a Contracts Manager, or you could be a solid Senior Contracts Administrator who has reached the point where you are ready to step into leadership and take on broader commercial responsibility.Ideally, you will bring:Strong experience within commercial construction contract administrationExperience managing significant trade packages and project contractsSound knowledge of procurement, variations, claims and cost reportingStrong commercial and contractual understandingThe ability to guide, mentor and develop other Contract AdministratorsConfidence working alongside Project Managers and senior leadershipA collaborative and approachable leadership styleRelevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or similarThis is particularly suited to someone who enjoys sharing their knowledge and helping others develop, while still wanting to remain involved in the commercial delivery of projects.
