Coonamble Shire Council is seeking an experienced infrastructure, civil construction or project leader to step into the newly established role of Manager Infrastructure Programming, based in Coonamble, NSW.This is an opportunity to take your experience in infrastructure, capital works, civil construction, asset management or major projects and apply it at a broader strategic level.You'll build and lead a multidisciplinary team, influence how Council prioritises its infrastructure investment and help shape the long-term delivery of roads, bridges, stormwater and community assets across the Shire.And because we know this opportunity may mean making a move, relocation assistance and housing support are available.About the OpportunityReporting to the Director Infrastructure, you'll provide strategic leadership across Council's infrastructure planning and programming while overseeing capital works, infrastructure projects and asset inspections.This isn't a traditional engineering management role.While sound infrastructure knowledge is important, your ability to lead people, develop programs, influence stakeholders and turn strategy into practical outcomes will be what sets you apart.You'll be responsible for:Leading infrastructure planning, programming and capital works deliveryDeveloping strategic work programs aligned with Council prioritiesCoordinating projects, budgets, procurement and resource planningBuilding and mentoring a newly structured multidisciplinary teamOverseeing inspections across roads, bridges, stormwater and public assetsManaging relationships with contractors, consultants,



government agencies and community stakeholdersMonitoring project performance, financial outcomes and riskSupporting Transport for NSW prequalification and RMCC program deliveryImproving infrastructure planning, project delivery and asset management practicesMaintaining strong procurement, contract management, WHS and environmental standardsAbout YouYou may currently be working in civil construction, engineering consulting, local or state government, transport, utilities, mining, infrastructure delivery or asset management.To qualify, you'll bring demonstrated leadership experience across infrastructure, capital works, civil construction, asset management or major projects, supported by tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Project Management, Asset Management or a related discipline.Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.You'll also bring:Significant experience leading teams and delivering infrastructure programsStrong project, contract and procurement management capabilityExperience managing budgets, programs and resourcesSound understanding of asset management principlesStrong commercial and financial acumenConfidence working with contractors, consultants and government stakeholdersClass C Driver Licence or equivalentWhite Construction Induction CardAustralian work rightsExperience within local government, roads and transport, utilities, mining, civil construction, engineering consulting, government or infrastructure asset management will be highly regarded.Most importantly, you'll be an authentic and capable leader who enjoys developing people,
