We need an experienced Venue Manager to help lead the invigoration while keeping the day-to-day running like clockwork.Key responsibilitiesLead larger teams (30+) and run a tight, profitable operationManage financial reporting, revenue, wage costs, COGS, and P&L; input for the ownerPartner with the Head Brewer on core range management and seasonal releasesRun daily operations across the bar, kitchen floor, and events spaces, including the seasonal beer gardenPlan seasonal menus with the Head Chef, keeping the pub-classics style fresh each quarterBook and manage live music acts directly, plus run regular trivia and karaoke nightsLiaise with sound engineers and AV contractors for gig setup and equipment upkeepPlan and run functions and private events end-to-endStay hands-on with venue maintenance — repairs, contractor coordination, and safety checksDrive social media (in-house, with some agency support)



to help build the venue's evening crowdAbout you5+ years' senior experience managing a large multi-faceted hospitality venueTrack record of leading larger teams (30+) and running a tight, profitable operationConfidence with financial reporting, revenue, wage costs, COGS, and P&L; inputKeep on top of licensing and compliance — liquor licence, noise permits, capacity limitsManage stock and supplier relationships across drinks, food, and consumablesEnsure health & safety/WHS compliance, incident reporting, and risk managementRun POS, cash handling, and rostering systems (e.g. Square/Deputy or similar)Handle customer complaints and manage the venue's online reputationOwn recruitment and onboarding — make the final call on new hiresAct as duty manager for opening/closing, security, and incident responsesign-on bonusOngoing profit share tied to venue performance (revenue, events, team retention)Explicit pathway to a multi-venue role across the group as we growMore DeetsFull-time contract, reporting directly to the owner/GMNights and weekends are part of the job3-month probation period, 6-week notice period thereafter
