The Team

John L. Grove Rehabilitation Unit (JLGRU)is a 20-bed specialised rehabilitation unit located a short distance from the main campus of the Launceston General Hospital (LGH). The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) at JLGRU works as an integral member of the multidisciplinary rehabilitation team and, in partnership with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), supports the rehabilitation model of care through clinical leadership, guidance, supervision, and education for both clinical and support staff.
The multidisciplinary rehabilitation team (MDT) at John L. Grove comprises of medical officers, nursing staff, allied health professionals, pharmacist, and support staff. Working collaboratively with the NUM and other senior clinicians, the CNE contributes to the safe, efficient, and effective delivery of patient care, ensuring clinical practice is aligned with contemporary evidence-based standards and best-practice principles.
The CNE plays a key role in fostering a culture of continuous learning, career development, and clinical excellence. In partnership with the NUM and MDT members, the CNE assists in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical care processes and provides clinical leadership to support the day-to-day patient care activities of the unit. The role also involves coaching and mentoring staff, facilitating education programs, supporting quality improvement initiatives, and promoting positive patient outcomes through excellence in rehabilitation nursing practice.
The successful candidate will bring:

Demonstrated experience delivering and evaluating clinical education programs that build workforce capability and support professional development.
Strong knowledge of contemporary nursing practice, adult learning principles and workforce development within a healthcare environment.
Proven ability to lead quality improvement initiatives, support change and promote evidence-based practice.
Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

Details of appointment

Permanent part time, day worker position, working56hours per fortnight, starting as soon as available to join the team.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary

$118,297 to $125,543 per annum(Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance withNurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement ****.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type.

Eligibility
