We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced psychologist to join our team in Psychology Services, Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH). The Role

As a Senior Psychologist, you will provide advanced clinical assessment, formulation and evidence-based interventions to adults and older adults as part of their hospital inpatient care. You will be part of a team of Clinical psychologists, Neuropsychologists, and Health Psychologists working alongside a multidisciplinary team of allied health, nursing and medical professionals. You will also provide supervision, mentoring and support to psychology team members and students, while contributing to education, quality improvement initiatives and service development activities.
This position offers the opportunity to influence patient outcomes, support innovative service delivery, and contribute to the ongoing growth and excellence of Psychology services
We offer professional development support, peer review and clinical supervision along with support, mentoring and development from a psychology leadership team.
You will need

Extensive experience delivering contemporary psychological assessment and therapeutic interventions in a healthcare setting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and engage effectively with patients, families and stakeholders.
Experience providing supervision, support and professional development to psychologists and psychologists in training.
Well-developed written communication skills, including the ability to prepare high-level clinical reports and documentation.
The ability to exercise sound professional judgement, work independently and adapt to a complex and evolving environment.
A commitment to quality improvement, service development and maintaining contemporary professional practice.

Details of appointment





Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary

$117,272 to $126,182 per annum + our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance withAllied Health Professionals Public Sector Union Wages Agreement ****

Salary Packaging

You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other advantages if eligible.
Allowances

Please note that access to salaries beyond $123,487 is subject to qualifications and/or application to the personal upgrade scheme

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
Professional Development Allowance of up to $**** per annum, paid on a fortnightly, pro rata basis.

Eligibility

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria.
Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Psychology Board of Australia
Registered with the Psychology Board of Australia
Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (where applicable and as determined by individual position requirements)

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
Holds area of practice endorsement in Clinical Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology or Health Psychology




Postgraduate degree in Clinical Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology or Health Psychology
Board Approved Supervisor Status with PsyBA
