(SCHADS Level 7) commensurate with experience | Generous salary packaging and annual leave loading benefitsAbout the OpportunityAs our Building Community Capacity Lead, you will play a central role in how the Mental Health and Wellbeing Local connects with the community, shaping experiences and supporting meaningful engagement.
This role blends people leadership with community connection and capacity building.
You will develop strong relationships across services and community groups, represent the service with warmth, and help strengthen community understanding of mental health and wellbeing.
You will support co design, invite community voices into our work, and contribute to shaping how the Local continues to evolve.About youYou are a thoughtful, empathetic leader who thrives in collaborative environments.
You bring a genuine curiosity about people and communities and have a natural ability to connect with diverse groups, understand different perspectives and create inclusive spaces where everyone feels valued.You will also bring:2+ years senior mental health leadership experience,
including senior Lived Experience Roles2+ years Community Engagement / Community Development Experience or similar roleProven ability to lead, manage and motivate staff while driving and sustaining system changeProven ability to embed lived experience and peer work principles across service models, using data and insights to identify trends and inform practiceEvidence of right to work in AustraliaCurrent driver licence and willingness to undertake travel as part of the roleSatisfactory National Police Check, Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to undertakeNDIS Workers Orientation module certificate - free online courseAbout the ServiceWellways, in partnership with APMHA Healthcare and GV Health, is excited to be working together across Greater Shepparton, Strathbogie, and Moira to strengthen mental health and wellbeing support across the region.
