8/6 roster | FIFO Brisbane to Nyngan, NSWPermanent role with accommodation & meals providedTrain, assess and develop production operators across a growing open cut mineJoin a growing open cut mining operation with MacKellar.MacKellar is looking for an experienced Production Mining Trainer & Assessor to join our growing team at an open cut mining operation near Nyngan, NSW.This is a permanent opportunity for a qualified Trainer/Assessor who enjoys working with people, developing operator capability and playing a hands‐on role in maintaining safe and productive mining operations.What's on offerPermanent full-time position8/6 rosterFIFO from Brisbane to Nyngan, NSWAccommodation and meals providedOpportunity to join a growing mining operation and site teamWork alongside experienced mining and training professionalsLong‐term career opportunities with MacKellarAbout the roleAs a Production Mining Trainer & Assessor, you will be responsible for delivering practical training and competency assessments to production operators across the operation.You'll play an important role in bringing new employees up to competency, supporting the development of our existing workforce and ensuring operators have the skills and knowledge required to safely and effectively operate mobile mining equipment.Your responsibilities will include:Delivering site‐based training and competency assessments for production operators; Haul Trucks, Dozers, Graders, Water trucks, Excavators+Conducting inductions,
operator training and practical assessments for new employeesProviding ongoing upskilling and refresher training to the existing workforceAssessing operator competency against relevant RII units and site requirementsSupporting operators to develop protected and efficient operating practicesMaintaining accurate training and competency recordsWorking closely with supervisors and operational leaders to identify training requirementsEnsuring all training is delivered in accordance with site procedures, legislation and industry standardsPromoting a strong safety‐first culture across the operationAbout youTo be successful in this role, you will have proven experience delivering training and assessments within an open cut mining environment.You will also have:Certificate IV in Training and Assessment – TAE***** or current equivalentPrevious experience as a Mining Trainer, Assessor, Production Trainer or similarDemonstrated experience training and assessing production operators on an open cut mine siteA broad range of current RII competencies across mobile mining equipmentStrong understanding of open cut mining operations and production environmentsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsThe ability to build rapport with operators and effectively coach people with varying levels of experienceA strong commitment to safety, compliance and quality training outcomesWhy MacKellar?
