Job DescriptionAbout The BusinessThe Langham, Melbourne is currently recruiting for a part- time (3 days a week) Reservations Sales Agent to join Melbourne's premier luxury hotel.About The RoleYou will have the opportunity to work with the Reservations department which consists of approximately 4 colleagues.
This is an exciting opportunity for you to grow your hotel skill set in order to build a career with-in The Langham, shall you be determined and dedicated.The successful candidate will be required to work on a rotating roster (inclusive of weekends).
This position is an integral part of a high performing hotel team, and a key contributor to the hotel's ongoing success.Previous experience in Front Office or Reservations with Opera Knowledge will be essential.Your Responsibilities Will IncludeAssisting queries via telephone, responding via email, monitoring our on-line reservations, up-selling over the telephone & assisting loyalty member guests with queries.Maximising sales opportunities within the hotel,



ensuring all queries and bookings are carried out in an accurate and time effective mannerEnsuring a high level of product knowledge is maintained in order to explain services and facilities to clients as requiredProcessing all correspondence on a daily basisEnsuring that all reservations are made within the guidelines of daily statusHYGIENE AND GROOMING - Naturally in the service industry high standards of personal presentation, hygiene, grooming, and conservative hairstyles are of the greatest importance.

Skills And ExperiencePrevious experience in a similar role, ideally within a luxury hotel or similar environmentProficient in the use of Shiji (our reservations booking system)Immaculate presentation and grooming standardsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAttention to detailAbility to work well under pressureProfessional and positive attitudeAble to work over a seven day rotating roster – morning & afternoon shifts
