Our experience spans a diverse range of sectors, including residential, healthcare, aged care, education, commercial, and industrial developments.At Innova, we are a growing and collaborative team that values technical excellence, clear communication, and a supportive, flexible working setting.The RoleIn this role, you will lead fire engineering projects from concept through to completion and contributing to the ongoing growth of the team.You will work with a high level of autonomy, collaborating closely with Directors and project teams to deliver high-quality, performance-based fire engineering solutions.Key responsibilities include:Leading the delivery of fire engineering projects across a diverse range of sectorsPreparing and reviewing performance-based design documentationUndertaking fire engineering analysis including smoke modelling, egress modelling, and risk assessmentsManaging multiple projects concurrently, ensuring delivery to time, budget, and quality expectationsEngaging with clients, design teams, certifiers, and authorities to support approvals and design outcomesAttending design meetings, workshops,



and site inspectionsProviding technical guidance and support to junior engineersContributing to proposals, project planning, and commercial outcomesSupporting continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining technical excellence across the teamAbout YouWe are looking for a motivated and experienced fire engineer who is confident leading projects and contributing to a high-performing team.You will bring:A degree in Fire Safety, Mechanical, Structural, or related engineering disciplineIdeally a Master of Fire Safety Engineering (or similar)Minimum 4+ years' experience in fire engineering, preferably within a consulting environmentStrong experience in performance-based fire engineering (Classes 2–9 buildings)Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver to deadlinesExperience with fire engineering software such as FDS, Pathfinder, or similar CFD toolsSolid understanding of the NCC/BCA, Australian Standards, and regulatory frameworksExcellent communication and report writing skillsA proactive approach with strong problem-solving and stakeholder management abilitiesWorking toward or holding CPEng (or equivalent) is highly regardedWhy Join Innova?
