The business operates in a regional area and is committed to sustainable farming practices, workforce development, and compliance with Australian agricultural and workplace standards.Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and skilled Fruit Grower to manage and oversee orchard operations.
The role requires a high level of technical knowledge in horticulture and the ability to ensure productive, productive, and sustainable fruit production.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPlanning and coordinating fruit production activities, including site preparation, planting, pruning, thinning, and harvestingMonitoring crop health and implementing pest, weed, and disease control strategies in accordance with industry best practicesManaging irrigation systems, soil nutrition, and fertilisation programs to maximise crop yield and qualityOperating and maintaining agricultural machinery and equipment safely and efficientlySupervising, training, and coordinating farm workers and seasonal labourMaintaining detailed records of crop production, chemical usage, and operational activitiesEnsuring compliance with biosecurity,



workplace health and safety (WHS), and environmental regulationsImplementing sustainable and efficient farming practices aligned with industry standardsSkills and Experience RequiredAt least 1–3 years of relevant work experience in fruit growing, orchard management, or a closely related fieldDemonstrated knowledge of horticultural production, pest and disease management, and irrigation systemsAbility to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipmentExperience supervising staff and managing day-to-day farm operationsStrong organisational and record-keeping skillsPhysical capability to perform manual outdoor work in varying weather conditionsQualificationsRelevant qualification in horticulture, agriculture, or a related field (AQF Certificate III or higher preferred)Equivalent industry experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualificationsAdditional RequirementsValid driver's licenceWillingness to work flexible hours, including weekends during peak harvest periodsAbility to meet visa and character requirements under Australian immigration lawsEmployment ConditionsFull-time position with a minimum of 38 hours per weekSalary and conditions in accordance with Australian workplace lawsCommitment to employing and training Australian workers where possibleAnnual Salary: $80K to $120K
