Barista

The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and beverages, providing friendly customer service, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the café.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including lattes, cappuccinos and other espresso-based drinks.
2. Select, measure and grind coffee and operate espresso machines and other coffee-making equipment.
3. Prepare and serve chillers, cold beverages and other drinks.
4. Take customer orders and provide friendly and efficient customer service.
5. Sell light snacks, food items and other products available in the café.
6. Process customer payments using EFTPOS and cash registers.
7. Promote café products, specials and promotional offers.
8. Clean and maintain the coffee-making area, espresso machine and café service areas.

Requirements

1. Relevant AQF Certificate II and at least one year of full-time (or part-time equivalent) relevant work experience; or Relevant AQF Certificate III with at least one year of relevant post-qualification work experience (minimum 20 hours per week); or At least one year of relevant full time work experience in lieu of the qualification requirements.
2. Strong coffee preparation and beverage-making skills.
3. Good knowledge of coffee products, preparation methods and café equipment.
4. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
5. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced café environment.

Retail Supervisor

The Retail Supervisor is responsible for supervising café and retail staff, coordinating daily store operations, and ensuring high standards of customer service, sales and stock management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of café and retail staff.
2. Allocate staff to specific duties and assist with preparing staff rosters and work schedules.
3. Ensure customers receive prompt service and quality products and respond to customer enquiries and complaints.
4. Train and provide guidance to staff on customer service, sales procedures and workplace practices.
5. Monitor stock levels, conduct inventory checks and assist with ordering new stock.
6. Ensure products are correctly priced, displayed and presented in accordance with store standards.
7. Monitor sales, operate point-of-sale systems and assist with cash and EFTPOS transactions.
8. Ensure workplace health and safety, security and store operating procedures are followed.

Requirements

1. Hospitality Worker

The Hospitality Worker is responsible for providing friendly and efficient hospitality and customer service, assisting with food and beverage preparation and service, and supporting general café and retail operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide friendly and efficient customer service to customers and visitors.
2. Take and process food and beverage orders and ensure orders are served accurately and promptly.
3. Prepare and serve coffee, chillers, cold beverages and other food and beverage products.
4. Assist with food preparation, presentation and service of snacks and other café products.
5. Operate EFTPOS and cash registers and process customer payments.
6. Replenish, stack and display food, beverages and other goods for sale.
7. Clean and maintain the café, service areas, coffee-making equipment and customer areas.
8. Follow workplace health and safety, food safety and hygiene procedures.

Requirements

1. Relevant AQF Certificate II and at least one year of full time (or part-time equivalent) relevant work experience; or Relevant AQF Certificate III with at least one year of relevant post-qualification work experience (minimum 20 hours per week); or At least one year of relevant full time work experience in lieu of the qualification requirements.
