About the Role
Green Light is seeking an experienced Network & Security Engineer to join a high-performing team supporting and delivering key network and security initiatives within a complex enterprise setting.

This role requires a strong background across both networking and security technologies, with hands-on expertise in Cisco switching and wireless technologies, Fortinet security platforms, and Zscaler. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining, supporting, and enhancing the organization's network and security infrastructure while contributing to ongoing project delivery.

This is an initial 3-month engagement with potential extension opportunities based on project requirements and future initiatives.

Responsibilities

- Provide operational support and project delivery across enterprise network and security environments.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco switching and wireless infrastructure.
- Administer and support Fortinet security platforms including FortiGate Firewalls, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer.
- Monitor network and security performance, availability, and capacity.
- Investigate and resolve complex network and security incidents.
- Implement and support firewall policies, routing, switching, and wireless configurations.
- Support security controls and web security technologies including Zscaler.
- Perform network and security upgrades, patches, and configuration changes.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and project teams to deliver business outcomes.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Participate in change management and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure network and security environments align with organisational standards and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience
Mandatory





- Proven experience as a Network Engineer, Security Engineer, or in a hybrid Network & Security Engineering role.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Cisco Switching technologies
- Cisco Wireless solutions
- Fortinet Firewalls

- Experience administering:

- FortiGate Firewalls
- FortiManager
- FortiAnalyzer

- Strong troubleshooting skills across enterprise network environments.
- Experience implementing and supporting firewall and security policies.
- Exposure to routing, switching, wireless networking, and network security principles.
- Experience working within complex enterprise environments.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Desirable

- Experience supporting or administering Zscaler.
- Fortinet certifications (NSE or equivalent).
- Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
- Experience in project-based environments and infrastructure uplift initiatives.
- Knowledge of network monitoring and reporting tools.
