Our venue partner, Holy Ship Pty Ltd trading as Holy Ship Restaurant & Bar is a waterfront hospitality venue that provides a unique dining and entertainment experience in a maritime setting. The restaurant specialises in quality food and beverage offerings, with a strong focus on fresh seafood, well-prepared meals and attentive customer service. In addition to its regular dine-in operations, the business caters to private functions, celebrations, corporate events and other group bookings.

Due to the ongoing operational demands of the business and the need to maintain adequate staffing levels, Holy Ship Restaurant & Bar is seeking to employ Cooks to strengthen and support its existing kitchen team.

Salary: $78,000 - $83,000 AUD

Location: Berths C7-C8, Marina Mirage, 74 Seaworld Drive, Main Beach QLD 4217

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and cook meals according to recipes, menu specifications, and quality standards.
2. Complete daily food preparation, including chopping, portioning, marinating, and mise en place.
3. Ensure food is cooked, presented, and served consistently and on time.
4.



Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and sanitation at all times.
5. Monitor food quality, freshness, portion sizes, and presentation.
6. Operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain a clean and organised work area.
7. Assist with stock rotation, inventory control, and minimising food waste.
8. Follow dietary, allergy, and special meal requirements as instructed.
9. Work effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff during busy service periods.
10. Assist the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager with the day-to-day operation of the kitchen.

Requirements:

- At least 1–3 years of relevant work experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen.
- Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a quick-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support overall kitchen operations.
