About the Opportunity
Looking for a career, not just a job? Maclean Partners is seeking a full-time Client Services Officer to join our Financial Planning team in Townsville, QLD.
You'll work closely with our Financial Planning team, from Paraplanners through to Directors, and play a key role in the day-to-day client experience. As one of the first points of contact for our clients, you'll provide friendly, professional service, managing phone enquiries, scheduling client review appointments, and handling the administration that keeps our team running smoothly. As you build your knowledge of the industry, you'll take on more responsibility, including aspects of advice implementation, with real support behind every step.
More specifically, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Handling client enquiries, scheduling client appointments and managing Advisers' diaries
- Carrying out general office administration, including reception, greeting clients, answering incoming calls and scanning
- Maintaining accurate client records, portfolios and product information in Compass (Xplan software)
- Managing inward and outward correspondence
- Supporting Advisers, Paraplanners and the broader Financial Planning team with day-to-day operations
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance
- As you grow into the role: preparing Review Appointment folders and assisting with administration and implementation activities within required timeframes
About You
You don't need any financial planning background to succeed in this role. If you've got the right attitude, we'll teach you the rest. If you've worked in client service, administration or support before, you'll settle in fast. If you're completely new to the industry, that's fine too; full training is provided.
We're looking for someone with:
- A genuine interest in helping people and delivering a great client experience
- Strong attention to detail and a real willingness to learn
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good planning, organisational and time-management skills
- The ability to juggle multiple priorities while keeping things accurate and on track
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
The following will also be highly regarded, but are not essential:
- Previous experience within Financial Planning, Wealth Management or Financial Services
- Knowledge of Compass (Xplan) or similar financial planning software
Most importantly, you're friendly, organised and dependable, someone who enjoys being part of a supportive team and takes pride in doing the small things well, whether that's a phone call, an enquiry, or coordinating a client's next review.
