Secondary Science Teacher Independent School | South of Perth
Permanent role | Full time

A growing Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12 independent co-educational school is seeking a passionate and committed Secondary Science Teacher to join their team from Term 1 2027.

The school is focused on building a strong sense of belonging, where students feel valued, included and supported across all areas of learning. Staff play an important role in shaping a positive, caring and high expectations learning environment that reflects the school’s ethos and community values.

This opportunity is open to both experienced teachers and recent graduates who are enthusiastic about delivering engaging, future focused Science education to Secondary students.

The Opportunity

- Full-time Secondary Science Teacher role commencing 2027
- Teach Science across Years 7 to 10

Responsibilities

- Deliver engaging Science lessons aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum and SCSA requirements
- Teach Science across Years 7 to 10
- Use a range of evidence-based teaching strategies to support student engagement and achievement
- Monitor, assess and report on student progress in line with school and SCSA requirements
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of a diverse student cohort
- Contribute positively to a collaborative teaching team
- Build robust relationships with students, parents and colleagues

What we are looking for





- Recognised teaching qualification
- TRBWA registration
- Working With Children Check
- Demonstrated ability to teach Secondary Science
- Strong understanding of the WA Curriculum and SCSA requirements
- Ability to use a variety of teaching strategies to enhance student engagement and outcomes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A collaborative approach to working within a school team
- Full Australian working rights
