Salary: $125,000 plus 12% superannuation

Our client, Ramps Ridge Services Pty Ltd, is a diversified agribusiness operating in the Riverina district of New South Wales. The business conducts farming operations involving sheep, beef and other seasonal agricultural production across approximately 3,547 hectares, predominantly dedicated to cotton. Ramps Ridge Services is committed to sustainable and effective agricultural practices and operates across livestock management, cropping and irrigation activities. The business is also nationally accredited under the National Feedlot Assurance quality system and approved to supply major domestic and international markets.
The scale and diversity of the company's agricultural operations require effective coordination and utilisation of resources, equipment, people, transport activities and operational processes. To support continued operational efficiency, customer satisfaction and business improvement, Ramps Ridge Services is seeking a skilled and experienced Logistics Analyst to analyse current logistics and operational processes, identify gaps and opportunities, assist with developing improvement strategies and support the implementation of approved recommendations.
The Logistics Analyst will work closely with management and operational teams to evaluate existing systems, capabilities, workflows and resource utilisation. The position will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives designed to improve the movement and coordination of materials, equipment, livestock-related resources, agricultural inputs and other operational requirements, while supporting efficient use of the organisation's resources and capabilities.
Qualification and Experience:
-Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, Management, Operations Management or a related field. At least five years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification.
-At least one year of relevant experience in logistics analysis, supply chain analysis, business improvement, operations analysis, process improvement or a similar role.
Your main responsibilities will be:
-Assist management in developing operational objectives, strategies and plans aimed at improving the efficiency of agricultural operations, utilisation of organisational resources and achievement of customer and market requirements.
-Analyse the movement, availability and utilisation of agricultural inputs and operational resources used across cropping, livestock, feedlot and irrigation activities.
-Review current methods for coordinating the procurement, receipt, storage, allocation and use of farm inputs such as seed, fertiliser, chemicals, feed, fuel, irrigation-related materials and other operational supplies.
-Analyse and evaluate existing systems, capabilities, structures and workflows used to coordinate agricultural activities and supporting logistics functions.
-Analyse the movement and handling of harvested agricultural produce, including the processes associated with the collection, temporary storage, preparation and movement of cotton and other agricultural products.
-Review processes associated with livestock and feedlot operations to identify opportunities to improve the coordination and utilisation of feed, livestock-related resources, handling activities, equipment and supporting operational resources.
-Analyse seasonal operational requirements and resource allocation to assist management in planning for periods of increased cropping, harvesting, livestock, feedlot or irrigation activity.
-Collect and analyse operational information,
activity data, resource utilisation information and performance measures to identify recurring problems, trends and opportunities for improvement.
-Advise management on recommendations to address identified inefficiencies, improve resource allocation, strengthen workflows and resolve operational problems.
-Monitor the effectiveness of implemented improvements and compare operational outcomes against established objectives and performance measures.
-Identify opportunities to reduce avoidable handling, unnecessary movement, idle resource capacity, delays and duplication across agricultural and supporting operational activities.
-Work with management and operational personnel to improve coordination between cropping, livestock, feedlot, irrigation, machinery and supporting activities where their resources or workflows are interdependent.
-Develop and maintain process documentation, workflow information, improvement records and operational recommendations.
-Perform other logistics analysis, operational improvement and resource-planning duties reasonably incidental to the position.
In order to be considered for this role, you must have:
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex operational issues and develop practical recommendations.
-Knowledge of logistics, supply chain, operations management, continuous improvement and organisational change methodologies.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present analysis and recommendations clearly to management and operational teams.
-Strong organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and improvement initiatives.
-Ability to translate operational analysis into practical recommendations and support the implementation of approved improvements.
