We are seeking an experienced and motivated *Cook* to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis in Melbourne.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, maintaining food safety and hygiene standards, and assisting with the smooth day-to-day operation of the kitchen.

### *Key Responsibilities*

* Preparing and cooking a variety of meals in accordance with recipes and menu requirements.

* Ensuring consistency, quality and presentation of all food.

* Preparing ingredients, including cutting, portioning and marinating.

* Monitoring food quality and freshness.

* Maintaining a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen.

* Complying with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.

* Assisting with stock management, including checking deliveries and minimising food wastage.

* Working efficiently as part of a team during busy service periods.

* Assisting with menu preparation and maintaining appropriate portion control.

* Ensuring kitchen equipment and work areas are properly cleaned and maintained.

### *About You*

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

* Previous experience working as a Cook in a commercial kitchen.





* Relevant qualifications in commercial cookery will be highly regarded.

* Strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.

* Understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements.

* Ability to work efficiently under pressure.

* Good communication and teamwork skills.

* Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.

* Availability to work full-time, including weekends and public holidays where required.
