Ventia are currently looking for a highly experienced Transport Supervisorto Join the Domestic Transport team in support of the Base Living Working Services Contract.
Transport plays a critical role in coordinating and delivering safe, reliable, and compliant transport services across the designated Defence base. This role ensures contractual, safety, and regulatory standards are met by managing daily transport schedules, supervising drivers, and overseeing on-site activities.
Working closely with site teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders, the Site Supervisor provides leadership, guidance, and support to embed a proactive safety and service culture. The role also contributes to staff development, fosters customer engagement, and ensures all operational activities align with company, client, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with SHEQ, NHVR, Defence, and statutory requirements.
- Promote a strong safety culture and address hazards, incidents, and non-conformances.
- Maintain mandatory training and compliance standards.
- Coordinate driver rosters, vehicle allocation and daily transport activities.
- Monitor fleet performance, vehicle compliance, maintenance and operational records.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and digital systems.
- Manage subcontractor performance and service delivery.
- Build strong relationships with Defence representatives, passengers and key stakeholders.
- Respond to enquiries and feedback to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Lead, coach and support drivers and site personnel.
- Foster a positive,
inclusive and high-performing team culture.
- Conduct performance and development discussions to support team growth.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Certificate or Diploma in Transport, Logistics, or a related field (Highly regarded)
- Heavy Vehicle Licence and Bus Driver Authority, or ability to obtain
- Strong transport operations, scheduling and supervisory experience
- Knowledge of NHVR and Bus Safety Accreditation requirements
- Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Proven problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
- Experience using transport management and reporting systems
- Ability to lead teams, manage compliance and deliver outstanding service
- Experience managing subcontractors and multi-site operations highly regarded
