The Chance:
An exciting opportunity is available for a Trainer & Assessor to join a respected and growing Cairns-based training organisation. Working across classroom, practical, and workplace-based environments, you will deliver engaging training programs, assess learner competency, and support students in achieving nationally recognised qualifications.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys sharing their knowledge, mentoring others, and making a genuine impact on people’s careers. Whether your background is in construction, mining, transport, warehousing, civil, manufacturing, or another trade or operational environment, your industry experience and passion for developing others will be highly valued.
High Risk Work Assessor Accreditation is not essential, with full support and training available for the right candidate to obtain additional qualifications and accreditation.
Your Skills & Experience:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116, TAE40122, or equivalent)
- Minimum two years recent industry experience within a relevant trade, operational, industrial, construction, mining, transport,
manufacturing, civil, or related environment
- Strong understanding of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) principles and safe work practices
- Ability to confidently facilitate training programs and engage adult learners
- Experience assessing learner competency and providing constructive feedback
- Strong communication, presentation, and mentoring skills
- Professional, reliable, and organised approach
- Current Driver’s Licence
- A passion for helping people develop skills, gain qualifications, and succeed in their careers
