Western District Health Service is seeking Expressions of Interest from current employees interested in joining the Emergency Department as a Personal Services Assistant (PSA).
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a dynamic and supportive team in a rapid-paced clinical environment. As a PSA, you will play an important role in supporting patients, clinicians and the broader emergency department team to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care.
About the Role
The Personal Services Assistant supports the day-to-day operation of the Emergency Department through a range of non-clinical support functions that contribute to patient care and service delivery. Duties may include:
- Maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment.
- Assisting with food and beverage services.
- Transporting patients, equipment and supplies.
- Restocking clinical areas and patient spaces.
- Supporting patient comfort and care within the scope of the role.
- Assisting clinical staff with ward support activities and general departmental operations.

Qualifications
Desirable qualifications include:
- Certificate I in Food Handling.
- Certificate III in Health Support Services or equivalent qualification (for Grade 2 PSA roles).
