About the Opportunity:
One Key Resources is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join a growing project delivery team on a permanent basis, supporting civil construction, demolition, remediation, and environmental projects across South East Queensland. This is an opportunity for a motivated engineer who enjoys working across a diverse portfolio of projects while combining technical expertise with practical, site-based involvement. Working closely with project managers, supervisors, and clients, you'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard. With a strong pipeline of work supporting Queensland's ongoing infrastructure growth, this position offers long-term stability, project variety, and genuine career progression opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering support across civil construction, demolition, remediation, and environmental projects
- Develop and review construction methodologies, work procedures, and technical documentation
- Assist with demolition planning, temporary works assessments, and structural investigations
- Support contaminated land and remediation projects, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards
- Coordinate with consultants, regulatory authorities, certifiers, and project stakeholders
- Conduct site inspections, quality audits, and compliance reviews
- Prepare and maintain quality assurance documentation, including inspection and testing records
- Contribute to tender submissions, cost estimates, and project scoping activities
- Assist with approvals, permits, and regulatory submissions
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to site-based teams
- Maintain accurate project records, reporting,
and project documentation
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Degree qualifications in Civil, Structural, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline
- Minimum 4 years' experience within civil construction, infrastructure, demolition, remediation, or environmental projects
- Sound understanding of Queensland WHS and environmental legislation
- Experience preparing technical reports, project documentation, management plans, and SWMS
- Strong problem-solving skills and practical engineering knowledge
- Proven ability to interpret engineering, structural, and geotechnical drawings
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Current Queensland Driver's Licence
- Current Construction White Card
Highly Regarded:
- RPEQ accreditation or currently working towards registration
- Experience within demolition, asbestos management, remediation, or contaminated land projects
- Knowledge of NEPM guidelines and contaminated site assessment frameworks
- Membership with Engineers Australia and/or Chartered status
- First Aid Certification
