About the Opportunity:

One Key Resources is seeking an experienced Estimator to join a growing civil construction team on a permanent basis, delivering earthworks, demolition, remediation, and infrastructure projects across South East Queensland. This is an opportunity for a commercially minded qualified who enjoys building competitive tenders, identifying project opportunities, and contributing to the successful delivery of complex civil projects. Working closely with operational and project teams, you'll play a key role in securing future work by developing accurate estimates and supporting winning tender submissions. With a robust pipeline of work supporting Queensland's ongoing infrastructure growth, this position offers long-term stability, project variety, and genuine career progression opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for civil construction, demolition, remediation, and infrastructure projects
- Complete quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, reports, and project documentation
- Develop pricing models covering labour, plant, materials, subcontractors, and project overheads
- Source, assess, and negotiate supplier and subcontractor pricing
- Review project risks, methodologies, and delivery strategies to maximise tender competitiveness
- Collaborate with project managers and operational teams to ensure estimates align with delivery capabilities
- Assist with tender clarifications, bid reviews, contract negotiations, and post-tender analysis
- Support project teams with variation pricing, procurement activities,



and commercial forecasting
- Maintain estimating databases, cost libraries, and benchmarking information
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across tendering and commercial processes

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Minimum 5 years' estimating experience within the Australian civil construction industry
- Experience pricing earthworks, infrastructure, demolition, remediation, or related construction projects
- Qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline (preferred)
- Strong understanding of civil construction methodologies, productivity rates, and cost planning principles
- Proven ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Experience using estimating platforms such as Cubit, Buildsoft, Candy, or similar software
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong commercial acumen
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and deliver quality outcomes within tight deadlines
