About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and commercially minded Finance Business Partner to join a leading Australian manufacturing and FMCG organisation. Partnering closely with senior sales leaders and executive stakeholders, this position plays a critical role in driving business performance through financial analysis, forecasting, strategic planning, and revenue optimisation. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine strong financial expertise with commercial leadership, working at both a strategic and operational level to improve profitability, strengthen planning processes, and support business performance initiatives.
Duties
- Partner with Sales Managers and senior leadership to develop financial strategies, annual budgets, and long-range planning initiatives.
- Lead the forecasting and performance management process for the Sales division, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Analyse weekly and monthly financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to improve business outcomes.
- Drive revenue management initiatives and provide recommendations to optimise profitability and reduce inventory exposure.
- Support Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP;) processes through accurate reporting and commercial analysis.
- Monitor sales performance against budget and forecast, providing regular updates and variance analysis.
- Deliver executive-level reporting for business reviews, quarterly performance meetings, and strategic planning forums.
- Prepare, review, and challenge business cases, capital investment proposals, and strategic projects.
- Provide commercial guidance to operational and sales stakeholders to ensure decisions align with profit, cashflow, and working capital objectives.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and drive initiatives that enhance financial performance and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal controls, and governance frameworks.
- Build solid relationships across finance, sales, operations, and executive leadership teams to drive collaboration and business success.
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
- CPA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification highly regarded.
- Extensive experience within Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;), Commercial Finance, or Finance Business Partnering roles.
- Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, food processing, or complex operational environments will be highly regarded.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate financial information into clear business insights.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with senior leaders and influencing strategic decision-making.
- Advanced financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis capabilities.
- Strong understanding of revenue management, business performance frameworks, and planning processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with an ability to present confidently at executive level.
- Proven ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.
- Robust project management and problem-solving skills, with a continuous improvement mindset.
