About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and professional Front of House team member to join Hola Amigos Semaphore on a full-time basis. Based in Semaphore, SA 5019, this role is fundamental to creating outstanding guest experiences and maintaining the welcoming atmosphere our establishment is known for. As Front of House staff, you will be the face of our business, responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, and ensuring every customer interaction reflects our commitment to excellence. This is an ideal opportunity for someone passionate about hospitality who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

- Greeting guests warmly upon arrival and making them feel welcome throughout their visit

- Managing the reservation system and maintaining accurate booking records

- Seating guests in accordance with table management and capacity requirements

- Taking drink and food orders and communicating them clearly to the bar and kitchen teams

- Serving beverages and food items with professionalism and attention to detail

- Clearing and resetting tables promptly between seatings

- Handling payments and processing transactions accurately

- Responding to guest enquiries and resolving any issues in a courteous and efficient manner

- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the dining and bar areas

- Collaborating with back-of-house and bar staff to ensure seamless service delivery

- Following food and beverage safety protocols and health and hygiene standards

- Supporting promotional activities and special events as required

What we're looking for





- Previous experience in a front-of-house role within a hospitality setting, such as a bar, café, or restaurant

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage guests in a friendly and professional manner

- Excellent customer service orientation and a genuine desire to create positive guest experiences

- Ability to work efficiently in a rapid-paced environment whilst maintaining attention to detail

- Reliable timekeeping and a flexible approach to shift work, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays

- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays and equipment safely

- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and practices

- Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and reservation management software (training provided)

- A positive, team-orientated attitude and willingness to support colleagues

- Current food and beverage handling certification or willingness to obtain one

- Preferably, experience in a similar cultural or themed hospitality venue
