Role Description/Criteria

Santa Maria College is a Catholic Girls’ Secondary School enriched with the tradition of the Sisters of the Good Samaritan catering for over 800 students from Year 7–12. Details about the role

Commencing in 2027, we are very excited to announce the introduction of Modern Greek to our Language offerings at Santa Maria College. We require a passionate and experienced Greek Teacher to lead this introduction into our Language suite. This role will assume an ongoing Part Time Contract, with an anticipated 0.6 FTE. Flexibility across days would be desirable as we establish this new timetable.

About you

- Experience teaching Contemporary Greek in Years 7-10, VCE also desirable
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong understanding of the developmental needs of adolescents and emerging young adults
- Proficient in the use of ICT for communication and record keeping
- Interpersonal skills appropriate to establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with students, staff and parents, particularly the ability to work as a member of a team
- Organisation and administrative skills appropriate for planning and preparation
- VIT Registration
- Commitment to supporting the College’s relational management and restorative practices




- Maintain a positive environment that is respectful of all and fosters student learning and motivation
- Able to participate in the College's professional development activities in and out of school hours
- Open to participate in the College's extra-curricular and co-curricular programs as required
- Experience with Mandatory Reporting and knowledge of Child Safety expectations and standards
