About the role

The Fitness Shop is seeking a skilled and professional Fitness Equipment Delivery & Installation specialist to join our team on a full-time basis. Based in Essendon VIC 3040, this role is central to ensuring our customers receive exceptional service from the moment their fitness equipment arrives at their doorstep through to complete installation and setup.

As Fitness Equipment Delivery & Installation specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality service that reflects The Fitness Shop's commitment to customer satisfaction. This position combines physical logistics expertise with technical knowledge, ensuring that every customer receives their equipment safely and is fully supported in getting started with their fitness journey. You will work independently and as part of a team to maintain our reputation for reliable, professional service.

Key responsibilities

- Safely transport fitness equipment from our warehouse to customer locations using appropriate vehicles and handling techniques

- Unload and position fitness equipment at customer premises with care and professionalism

- Assemble and install fitness equipment according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards

- Conduct thorough testing of all installed equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety

- Provide clear instructions and demonstrations to customers on the correct use and maintenance of their equipment

- Maintain detailed records of all deliveries, installations and any issues encountered

- Communicate professionally with customers, addressing any questions or concerns regarding their equipment





- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and ensure delivery vehicles are kept clean and well-organised

- Collaborate with warehouse and customer service teams to coordinate delivery schedules and manage customer expectations

- Follow all health and safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe working environment

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in delivery and installation roles, preferably within fitness equipment, furniture or similar industries

- Strong physical capability to safely lift, carry and manoeuvre heavy equipment (regularly up to 50kg+)

- Excellent mechanical aptitude and the ability to follow assembly instructions and technical specifications

- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record and experience operating commercial vehicles

- Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally

- Reliable, punctual and committed to meeting scheduled delivery and installation appointments

- Ability to work independently whilst maintaining strong teamwork and communication with colleagues

- Attention to detail and commitment to quality in both installation work and customer interactions

- Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to equipment handling and installation





- Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to challenging situations in customer homes

- A positive attitude and genuine passion for helping customers achieve their fitness goals
