Boilermakers, Mechanical Fitters & Riggers – Immediate Start – WA Goldfields Project | FIFO 3:1 | Ex Perth

Burgess Personnel is seeking expressions of interest from skilled and experienced Boilermakers, Mechanical Fitters, and Advanced Riggers for an immediate start on a major project in Western Australia's goldfields region.

Our client is rapidly advancing the conversion of an existing processing facility from nickel to gold production. This is a landmark project with significant investment and a fast-tracked timeline to first gold production in the near term.

Scope of Work – What You'll Be Doing

This project involves the full conversion of a processing plant, including:

- Refurbishment of the crushing circuit, including the overhaul of major equipment, piping, cabling, and instrumentation.

- Installation of a fully automated modular gold processing plant, including elution and carbon regeneration equipment.

- Structural, mechanical, and piping (SMP) works across the entire processing facility.

- Once operational, the processing facility will have a throughput capacity of over 3 million tonnes per annum.

The project represents a significant prospect to contribute to the refurbishment and commissioning of a major gold processing hub in the region.

Immediate Openings – Multiple Roles

1. Boilermakers

- Responsible for structural fabrication, welding,



and installation of new plant components.

- Strong background in mining or heavy industrial construction, particularly in process plant environments.

- Relevant High-Risk Work License required (experience with poly welding and/or CN, CO, or C6 Crane Licences desirable).

2. Mechanical Fitters

- Installing and maintaining heavy fixed plant equipment, specifically including pumps, rollers, and conveyors.

- Experience in the installation and maintenance of crushing circuits, piping, and process equipment.

- Relevant Australian Trade Certificate and extensive mining experience essential.

3. Advanced Riggers

- Oversee complex lifting and installation tasks, particularly for the back-end gold processing plant modules.

- Work alongside engineering teams to ensure safe and precise execution of lifts.

- Experience in heavy lifting within a mining or modular plant construction environment.

- Current High-Risk Work License (Advanced Rigger) essential.

What We're Looking For

Essential Criteria (All Roles):

- Relevant Australian Trade Certificate (Boilermaker/Fitter) or High-Risk Work License (Rigger).

- Proven experience in the WA mining sector.

- Current National Police Clearance (to be obtained by applicant).

- Ability to pass a site-specific pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.

Highly Desirable (Boilermakers & Fitters):

- Poly Welding Tickets and Experience – Candidates with proven poly welding capabilities will be highly regarded for this project.

Desirable:

- Candidates with existing and current medicals and drug screens will be fast-tracked for an immediate start.
