About the Role: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Technology Adoption and Content Specialist to join our information technology team and play a crucial role in supporting The Salvation Army’s diverse initiatives nationwide. This is a Max term - full-time (12 months), position based in Blackburn, VIC.
Purpose of the Role: The Technology Adoption and Content Specialist drives technology enablement across TSA by creating engaging, accessible content that supports people at every level of technology confidence, from those still finding their footing with everyday tools, through to advanced users looking to get more from what's available to them. Content is designed to reach people in the ways that work best for them: through self-help resources and intranet pages, as well as materials that support facilitated group sessions. Sitting within the IT team and working across three pillars; AI adoption, cyber security awareness, and productivity enablement, the role is as much about people as it is about technology. This work sits at the heart of TSA's forthcoming Digital Strategic Plan, where building genuine digital capability and people's confidence with technology is recognised as foundational to the organisation's broader ambitions.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop technology enablement content with subject matter experts for self-help, intranet, and facilitated learning channels.
- Deliver engaging online and face-to-face technology enablement sessions tailored to diverse audiences.
- Build and maintain a technology learning library and delivery calendar in partnership with the IT Change Manager.
- Drive adoption of AI tools, cyber security practices, and Microsoft 365 through practical, role-based resources and campaigns.
- Create content that supports positive technology adoption, addresses resistance empathetically, and celebrates success.
- Use feedback and adoption data to continuously improve technology learning content and delivery.
Education and Qualifications Required:
- Demonstrated experience creating engaging digital content in workplace or technology environments.
- Experience supporting technology adoption, digital enablement, or internal communication initiatives.
- Strong ability to tailor content for audiences with varying levels of technical confidence.
- Experience producing video, screen recording, and multimedia learning resources.
- Proficiency with content creation tools such as Canva, Camtasia, Adobe Express, or similar.
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple content streams and priorities.
- Familiarity with SharePoint and Staffbase content publishing platforms (desirable).
